HAPPY SUMMER! JUNE 2010 ASTRO UPDATE: URANUS AND JUPITER BLAST INTO ARIES! |
| June comes in with a fiery blast as Uranus just shifted into the fire sign of Aries on May 27, 2010, the same day of the fiery full moon in Sagittarius. This new influx of Aries energies will be stirring up the pot. As I write this update, a fire in Canada, sends its smell, smoke, and fog as far south as Cape Cod to overshadow an otherwise bright Memorial Day weekend. Uranus will be transiting through Aries, for a few months this summer. Don't be surprised if there is an unprecedented number of forest fires this summer and hot, hot days as Uranus journeys through Aries. Jupiter will cavort with Uranus in early degrees of Aries beginning on June 6 which will initiate new beginnings and inspiration. These two planets together will create wacky synchonicities and surreal events. The good news with Jupiter and Uranus traveling through Aries this summer, is that we'll all get a taste of a new 84 year cycle which will bring new inventions and new mindsets that will help humanity and the planet. Uranus returns back to watery Pisces on August 14th, 2010 until March 2011. Uranus and Jupiter were conjunct in Pisces in April 2010 and opposing Saturn in Virgo when the oil leak into the Gulf of Mexico began. Unfortunately, the oil/greed elite who created this disaster, still aren't doing enough to clean up their mess. This ecological nightmare, triggered by the strong Jupiter/Uranus Piscean conjunction, brought to the collective consciousness the pressing need to reconfigure our energy sources now. We all suffer the depth of Mother Earth's distress as oil bleeds from her solar plexus. All these earth events are just precursors the Cardinal Cross astrological alignments that will hit throughout this summer when Saturn is in opposition to Uranus and Jupiter, which square off against Pluto in Capricorn which opposes Mercury and the Sun in Cancer. A Cardinal Cross means that there will be dynamic tension between these planetary bodies which will create effects on planet Earth. Some of these effects may be increased earth changes, elemental fluctuations and oddities, bizarre weather conditions, wacky behaviors from humans and animals, and overly emotional responses. Unfortunately, this may stir up political problems both nationally and internationally, with sides being more opinionated and volatile than usual. Pick your team - hope or fear - and watch how this cosmic cross plays out. New Moon in Gemini occurs on June 12 which will heighten communicatons and make life feel like a whirlwind. Time will surely speed up, yet again. Summer is officially ushered in with the Summer Solstice of June 21st. This is a time when we can all honor Mother Earth by performing ceremony. Any ceremony will suffice, from large group gatherings to a single person with a powerful intent to heal the planet. We are in the Aquarian Age which is the violet ray of ceremonial magic. Ceremonies performed with love and peace as intent can have a wonderful effect on the planet and humanity right now. So, stay grounded this summer - send positive energies to the planet and its inhabitants, pray for peace, love and understanding. My teacher, Namadeva Archarya - Thomas Ashley-Farrand shares a wonderful sanskrit mantra for mother earth - "OM BHU DEVYEI NAMAHA". Also, the Tibetan mantra, the Kalachakra Mantra - "OM HAK SA MA LA VA RA YUM SWAHA" suggested by the Dalai Lama to assist with personal and planetary evolution. When in doubt, always chant OM SHANTI OM, OM SHANTI OM, OM SHANTI OM "- PEACE PEACE PEACE. |
