| September 2009 ASTRO UPDATE Newsletter: AUTUMNAL EQUINOX September arrives with an electrifying Aquarian Moon which brings excitement back into our lives and becomes especially inspiring on September 2nd as the Moon conjuncts Neptune in Aquarius. Romance is in the air and summer gets a powerful second wind gasp of fresh prana that will take us through to the Autumnal Equinox on September 22nd. It may feel more like summer in early September than early July, so find time to flow with this Indian summer stream. Those dreams that have been on hold all summer due to the heavy eclipse patterns now have a chance of being fulfilled. The full moon on September 4 is the Harvest Moon, a time for reaping what has been gestating in the first nine months of 2009. It tends to be a time of year when hidden health issues can surface which now need attention. However, if we embrace our physical embodiment (Sun in Virgo) and realize that we are "spiritual beings (Moon in Pisces) having a physical experience" we can heal on very deep levels and use our physical bodies as conduits for spiritual energies. Mercury will retrograde a few days later on September 7 in the sign of Libra which will allow for a revisiting and healing of relationship issues. Mercury will be retrograde from September 7-29, 2009 which is not a good time for purchasing electronics, vehicles, travel, or signing of binding documents. However, any communications or ongoing issues which have been pending during the summer months will now come to fruition and provide resolution. Mercury retrogrades in Libra from September 7-18 which amplifies a focus on relationship issues, bringing in the new, and releasing the old. Then Mercury retrogrades in Virgo from September 18 -29 which allows us to deal with health issues, take care of details, important documents, and financial concerns. Unfortunately, Mercury retrograde in Libra is not the best time to get married. However, it is a great time to get divorced, and heal past relationships. Mid-September (9/17-9/22) brings on a Sun - Saturn conjunction in Virgo which will require separating the necessary from the unnecessary in one's life. Perhaps people will begin downsizing now, since the eclipses will have revealed the continuing downward spiral of the economy. After an exciting summer full of eclipses, this aspect will bring us back to earth with a thud. Focus and concentration will pay off now in whatever aspect of life needs a boost. AUTUMNAL EQUINOX The Autumnal Equinox arrives on September 22 as the sun enters the sign Libra, allowing us to bring our lives into balance. The Autumnal Equinox is also known as Michelmas or the time of Archangel St. Michael. Archangel Michael is close to earth at this time of year to help transmit divine consciousness into human minds through greater knowledge. This is the time of year to clean and purify the heart chakra, connect to the kundalini life force based at the sacrum area, and align with the angelic and devic kingdoms. The Angelic hierarchy working through the planet Mercury assist Archangel Michael in advancing humanity into higher truths that are necessary for life on this planet to evolve. According to Chinese medicine, the fall season is a transitional time. We switch from spleen/stomach meridiens of late summer which affect the way we digest life. Fall is lung season when the lung/large intestine are activated. Lung meridien imbalances will make one more prone to allergies, flus, colds and susceptible to feeling run down. However, it can be a very energizing and rebalancing time for those who don't suffer from imbalance in the lung or large intestine channel. The Autumnal equinox and the Sun in Libra are guided by the third ray of active intelligence, according to esoteric astrology. Unfortunately, some of the vices of this ray are inaccuracy in detail, and excessive criticism of others. The virtues that are expressed in this ray are sincerity of purpose, tolerance, and common sense. H Perhaps the time of Libra, we can follow the motto, "I choose the way which leads between two great lines of force", which is one of the teachings of Buddha. |
