     Happy Wesak Full Moon on Wednesday, April 28, 2010!  This is the most potent full moon of the year and a time when our intentions can produce result.  Spiritual practices and ceremony are enhanced during this five day period of April 26- April 30, 2010.  The Wesak Festival is celebrated every year on the Scorpio Full Moon which falls during the sun's transit through Taurus.  The three days leading up to the full moon are the days of preparation, then the full moon, with the three days following it being the days of dispensation. The Wesak Moon is a festival celebrated by Buddhists and Hindus, and brought to the west by the Theosophists.  The Wesak Festival is a time when the spiritual hierarchy, also known as the ascended masters of the planet, such as Buddha, Kuan Yin, the Christ, Mary, Krishna, Radha,  Lakshmi, Rama, and many others gather on the etheric planes and the physical planes of the Himalayan mountains on the border of India and Tibet.  This is one of the many planetary portals being activated strongly during the current planetary shifts (others include Macchu Picchu in Peru, Mt. Shasta, Sedona, AZ, Glastonbury, England, Maui).   The planetary masters assemble in the Himalayans to bless humanity and assist human consciousness in advancing forward to divinity.  A special ceremony takes place, and the earth is infused with higher spiritual vibrations. 

     In 1985, I had a dream about this ceremony where I was observing a gathering high in the mountains with Tibetan lamas and other holy people who were veiled.  Shortly after the dream, synchronically a pamphlet on the Wesak Festival came into my hands via the Theosophical Society in Boston.  For the past 25 years, I have celebrated this event either in my own meditations or in group activations to honor this special occasion.  Since this is the most powerful full moon every year, I advise honoring it with your own form of sacred ceremony.

                                                                                                                      During the Taurus equinox and the Scorpio full moon, Planet Earth receives a transmission from the galactic energies of the Great Bear, Pleiades, Sun, Vulcan, Venus, Planetary Logos, Sanat Kumara, Buddha and the Christ affecting all humanity.  It is a very charged up time of the year, and on a personal level we can harness this energy and use it to set new and higher goals, make new plans to meet those goals, and strive to activate your soul's purpose in your day to day life.  If you are unclear about your soul's purpose, called "dharma" in Sanskrit, it is a good time to consult an astrologer who can read your astrological chart, which is a cosmic blueprint of the soul for this current incarnation.

                                                                                                                      During the time of Taurus (April 20-May 20) it is a good time to connect with the Earth, honor Mother Gaia, and reconnect to your own physical body.  Take care of your physical realities, whether it is your body and your health or your finances and possessions.  See how your value system may be shifting. Where do you feel the urge to release things, situations or people from your life and where can you bring in new energies or resources?

     Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus, and Venus rules the kidneys and the throat.  When the sun transits Taurus, our throat chakra, kidneys and adrenals may be vulnerable and need some healing attention.  The more we can feel securely grounded or rooted to the Earth at this time, the easier it will be to weather the winds of change and chaos that are upon us.  It is important to stay above the fray, know that you are the master of your own body and your own immune system. Listen to your body's wisdom. Get back to the Earth, and find remedies from her apothecary for healing, such as Essential oils, organic herbs, nutritional supplements, and super foods. 

                                                                                                                      We are preparing for a big astrological event called the Cardinal Cross which is most potent in July 2010 when Uranus and Jupiter are in Aries opposing Saturn in Libra and Pluto is in Capricorn opposing Sun and Mercury in Cancer.  We will feel these planetary reverberations during the buildup period in May and June 2010 as the planets create a cosmic tension, and then feel August after-shocks from the cosmic catharsis.  Yes, there will be enhanced earth changes as we've seen with the earthquake in Haiti and volcanic eruptions in Iceland. Certain geographical hot spots on the planet like the Pacific Rim, Iceland, and Indonesia are more vulnerable to quaking.  The Book of Hopi, the Mayan calendar and other indigenous predictive resources are unfolding right now.  However, human consciousness can shift things to positive outcomes. We have a choice in the evolution of Mother Earth right now.  It is very exciting.  The key is to find your center, stay grounded and activate your "Ananda Maya Kosha" or bliss body.  We can become galactic citizens (Libra) or align with the old paradigm of fear and war-mongering (Aries).  The polarity of hope and fear are opposing each other strongly right now.  Don't let fear take over, whether it comes from within you or from outside forces. 

                                                                                                                      The other big astrological news 'til May 11th is Mercury Retrograde, which occurs from April 18 - May 11, 2010.    Mercury retrograde can create obstacles and delays in travel, communication, and business. It is astrological rule of thumb not to sign any important documents or commit to big decisions while Mercury is retrograde because they may not stick.   This Mercury retrograde in Taurus is allowing us to re-visit our physical reality and improve our health and finances.  We can make progress in eliminating debt, setting up new financial systems in our lives and initiating new health regimes. There may be confusion with communications, lines getting crossed, technologies failing and missed messages.  You may have to tell people something several times before it sinks in.  Mercury retrograde is always a good time for doing spiritual practices and our inner self-discovery work.

Aries (born March 21-April 21)  HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARIES!

This is a time of new beginnings for Aries.  New Moon on April 14th will seed new projects, and bring strong healing to you. You may receive some good news in the month of April. This is the time of year to gift yourself.  Mars moving direct in Leo, helps to give you the energy and inspiration to create and get things done this Spring.  Don't let Pluto squaring your Sun put a damper on the good vibrations flowing into your life now!  Lucky days:  April 12, 13, 14.

Taurus:  (born April 21-May 21):

Early April is the karmic return of your solar year, so there may be some challenges. Venus, your ruler, goes through Taurus all month long which brings luck for you.  Take the risk and try something new. You are reborn.  Mercury retrograde in your sign from April 18-May 12 give you time to review your plans before you put them into action. Life becomes a winning game again for Taurus. The Buddha Full Moon in Scorpio/Taurus on April 28th brings opportunity where you least expect it.  Lucky days: April 15, 16.

Gemini: (born May 21- June 21):

Gemini has been so patient during this long winter, and now you are ready to start living it up.  Saturn in Libra trining your Sun til April 7 helps solidify plans that you have been making since October 2009. Gemini has been stimulated in their mental body, and now have to tend to the physical body when Saturn retrogrades into Virgo from April 7- 30th.  Sun in Aries through April 20th gives much needed influx of positive energies.  Lucky days: April 17, 18.

Cancer:  (born June 21 - July 21):

Cancer has felt persecuted from the opposition of Pluto and Capricorn and square of Saturn in Libra and Sun in Aries.  This may be a challenging month for you.  Saturn retrograding into Virgo on April 7th will give you some relief, This is the calm before the storm of the Cardinal T-Square and Cross in May, June and July which will rock your foundations.  Retreat into the Cancerian shell will re-inforce your sense of self to weather the upcoming storms.  The Cardinal Cross will affect everyone but mostly Aries, Libra, Capricorn and Cancer.   Cancer, the Crab, is well-equipped to survive the rough currents.  Lucky days: April 19, 20, 21.

Leo: (born July 21-August 21)

Sun in fiery Aries helps to re-ignite Leo who roughed it out during the past months.  This is a wonderful time for Leo to come alive again, and feel their inherent joie de vivre.  The New Moon in Aries on April 14th warms the cockels of your heart and inspires the magical inner child of Leo.  Creativity, love, abundance and joy are all knocking at your door - you must take action to answer the calling of your soul!

Virgo (born August 21 - September 21):

Saturn transits back Virgo from April 7 - July 22nd giving you another chance to fine-tune your life, or ease up on your Virgo self-critical tendencies.  View this as a chance to watch a re-run of your life and re-write the script one more time.  Your physical reality still needs some adjustment, and you can purify and clarify  Remember the old saying "what you resist persists".  You have lived this and now are ready to release what doesn't work in your life.  You get some help  April into May when sun and Venus in Taurus ease the pain and bring in much needed comfort.  Lucky days: April 23, 24, 25..

Libra: (born September 21 - October 21)

Libra is ready for a 3 month long party when Saturn leaves your sign, as it retrogrades back into Virgo from April 7- July 22nd.  You get a much deserved break from Saturnian initiations. Sun in Aries till April 20th and Pluto in Capricorn are still kicking your butt.  You are bracing yourself for Uranus moving into Aries in late May. But for now, it is refreshing to feel some respite from the stormy Saturnian winds that have made your life challenging since October.   The next few months will allow you to catch your breath, feel the wind fill your sails and find ways to enjoy your life.  Lucky days:  April  25, 26. 

Scorpio (born October 21-November 21):

Scorpio has handled the intensity of the planetary changes better than most signs since their life is always intense.  Jupiter in Pisces continues to give a boost. You are exploring new dimensions of your inner self and then applying them in your life.  It is a fascinating process, but may scare some people out of your life.  Jupiter brings in opportunies for expansion and self-improvement.   The Buddha Full Moon in Scorpio/Taurus forces you to walk your talk and help others through emotional rough cycles.  Lucky days:  April  27, 28, 29.

Sagittarius: (born November 21-December 21)

Aries sun trining your sun and Mars moving fast through Leo has lifted you up above the fray.  Miracles have become your reality. Don't try to convert others, they have to figure it out for themselves.  Love and creativity are being re-born within, make sure you find a way to express yourself during the Aries equinox.  Your physical energy needs an outlet.  Your sexual energies are heightened. Fire feeds fire, find ways to feed your creative self.  Lucky days:  April 29, 30.

Capricorn (born December 21 - January 21):

Sun  in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn force you to look at your life force energy and where you are applying it.  It feels like the universe is saying go, go, go, wait. Look within for answers.  Early April could bring some frustrations.  Once the sun goes into Taurus on April 20h you get the green light.  You make steady progress on issues dealing with money and love.

Aquarius (born January 21-February 20)

There's been so much activity in the mental body, Aries allows you to express it physically.  You have so much electro-magnetic energy now you need to find an outlet. Mars in Leo opposing your Sun brings anger and frustration to the surface.  Good time for a spring liver detox for Aquarius whether it is for the physical or emotional body.  Neptune transiting Aquarius continues to dissolve any sense of ego, as outer vestiges of security melt away.  New Moon in Aries on April 14th brings new beginnings for Aquarius. Saturn in Virgo from April 7- July 22 can provide discrimination and right use of will.  Lucky days:  April 7 8, 9.

Pisces (born February 20-March 21): 

Jupiter in Pisces has offered rebirth.  Pisces may have renewed energy and accomplish things with more ease.  Saturn retrograding into  Virgo again, may make life less comfortable and force lessons. You have realized we are spiritual beings living a material life.  Life in a physical body is a gift.  Pisces is teaching others how to enjoy it and make the most of it, while never losing our connection to source.
